Amman, July (Petra) -- Jordan's National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), in cooperation with the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, has launched a digital awareness campaign to promote "safe practices" when using digital platforms and online services during the festival.

The campaign features a series of awareness messages aimed to verify information sources, avoid suspicious links, and exercise caution in online purchases, and raise awareness of digital fraud risks and ways to protect against them, the center said in a statement on Thursday.

As for its goals, the initiative is part of the center's ongoing efforts to promote a culture of cybersecurity and push the "safe and responsible" use of technology, which would provide a "more secure" digital experience for citizens and visitors during the festival and other national events.
